We have updated the PamFax system and added a few new things to further enhance your faxing experience.
A total of 80 fixes and improvements were made. Most of them are server side and thus do not require you to re-install PamFax. We do recommend a manual update if you use the PamFax for Outlook add-on (Windows application only).
The detailed list of changes are as follows.
Bugfix: Implemented fixes for Internet Explorer when viewing PamFax Portal
Bugfix: Users in Canada see currency formatted correctly and the correct country flag when entering a fax number
Bugfix: Updated version of PamFax for Outlook (crash and workflow fixes)
Bugfix: Updated Windows Gadget to address memory leak issue
Bugfix: Occasional endless “preparing preview” dialog
Bugfix: Occasional hanging wizard screens at various steps
Feature: New fax number users receive a test fax to their inbox after the number has been activated (English language users only at this time)
Feature: Added a monthly summary report to the PamFax Manager
Feature: Users with fax number can now activate auto upload incoming faxes to Dropbox, Box.net or Google Docs
Feature: New installer for Windows with simplified installation process
In addition to the above we fixed many user interface related issues.
Should you want to update to the latest PamFax for Windows version, please download it from our website. The only reason we recommend you to update is if you are using PamFax for Outlook as well.
The by far coolest feature we added is auto-upload all your incoming incoming faxes to your PamFax number to an online cloud storage provider. With this update we now provide true bi-directional document exchange! You can activate the options in the PamFax Portal under the menu “My Faxes” and “Backup”.

As always we are looking forward to hearing your feedback and suggestions how we can further improve PamFax.

Today we released an update of Pamela to version 4.7.0.65.
Main changes are fixes for the video recording of Skype5. Skype made architectural changes and we had to make some adaptations in Pamela to provide a good video recording experience.
We also took the opportunity to fix some crash situations reported to us since the initial 4.7 release and made further improvements to the performance. You will notice this in significantly decreased startup time and much quicker reaction. The resource usage has been decreased and optimizations implemented for multi-core computers for a better performance.
Updating is free, just open the Pamela main interface and click “Help”, “Check for updates”. Download and run the installer and you’re ready!
We hope you like the updated version and as always look forward to your feedback and suggestions.

We released a server update which adds direct access to your documents in either Dropbox, Google Docs or Box.net. We also made improvements to the PamFax Portal for easier use and changed the way we work with PamFax Credit. Our old regulation was unclear and confused some of our users – we fixed this and now your credit will always be available to you!
The big new feature is online storage access. How does online document storage access work in PamFax? We’ve thought a lot about how to make this as simple and intuitive as possible and hope we got it right.
Sending a document (or multiple) is very simple with the new version of PamFax. Select “Online documents” from the options in PamFax.

Then select the provider of your choice from the list and login to the service. Note that PamFax does not store any passwords!

After you have logged in you will automatically see the list of folder and files. You can search and also select multiple files. After you are done select OK and the files will be ready to be faxed.

This is all server stuff so there is no update required of your PamFax on your computer.
We hope you like the new functions, improved design and that it helps you being more productive. As always we welcome your feedback!

Just now we released PamFax for Android 1.0.3 with some additional automation features to make fax sending even easier.
First of all PamFax for Android will now automatically set itself to the default language as configured in the PamFax Portal. We actually wanted to add this in 1.0.2 but a bug crept in so it did not work.
Another feature of automation was added to the fax number entry. When sending a fax, most of the time you will be sending to a number in your own country. In earlier versions of PamFax for Android you had to select your country code from a list, alphabetically sorted. This is cumbersome so we added auto detection for the country code selection.
Enjoy!

Today we released PamFax for Android v1.0.2.
We made only one major usability change and that is when entering a fax number the country code is preselected to the country set in your PamFax profile. Reason is that most people send faxes to numbers in their own country so preselecting this removes an additional step. Sending a fax quick and easy is our mission!
We also fixed a rare crash bug.
The next version will be 2.0 and will have a big new feature – direct access to your documents stored on Box.net, Dropbox or Google Docs. Stay tuned!

Today we released our first update for PamFax for Android. Based on the feedback collected and further usability testing we implemented several changes:
- Fixed several crash bugs
- Improved application performance
- Significantly improved work-flow & added automation
- Added notification when a fax is pending to be sent
- Added exit button to quit PamFax
- Added info button with version information
- Added support for lower screen resolutions (e.g. 240×400 in Samsung Galaxy3)
- Smaller fixes and optimizations
The login screen was changed. There is now an explanation of how PamFax works and what you get when you sign up.

Once you have logged in with your PamFax user name or signed up for a new account you will see the PamFax main screen which looks very similar to the other applications (Windows, OSX, Linux).

Sending a document is very simple. PamFax Android will now automatically ask you what you want to send to whom. The workflow is the same as you are used to with all other PamFax applications and the PamFax Portal. No need to learn a new application!
We hope you enjoy the update. Several people were affected by crashes in the 1.0 version and these should be now resolved.
The next version of PamFax for Android will have an option to send documents from online storage platforms like Box.net, Dropbox and Google Docs. Stay tuned for the next version!
More details and download in the Android Market.

We have released a server update for PamFax. In this release we have mainly focused on increasing the performance even further. This includes improvements to the website, the server backend and significant speed improvements of the PamFax system itself.
The changes in this server-side update are:
Bugfix: Fixed a button display issue when using Opera to access the Portal
Bugfix: Sometimes a +0 was shown as sender in history list
Bugfix: Minor issues related to Portal login addressed
Bugfix: Unable to delete an unpaid fax
Feature: Added a “Logging you in” message after signing in (PamFax application only)
Feature: Password length feedback provided (when too short or too long)
Feature: Added the ability to add notes to a sent fax
Feature: Full name of purchased products are now shown in the PamFax Portal
A big new feature we added in this release is the “Recommend PamFax” option. We had this feature in PamFax2 but wanted to improve it and make it more attractive for our users. So, it took a while before we completed with this task.
You can recommend PamFax to your Skype contacts (as in PamFax2) and as new options we added Facebook, Twitter, email and promotion via a personalized link. This will enable you to recommend PamFax to different sets of user groups or just place the link on a blog site, etc. And the best thing of all is that for each user who signs up with PamFax we add one free fax page to your account automatically!
Note that server-side updates do not need a new installation of your PamFax application.
We are already working on the next release which will be a “feature release”. Our main focus with 3.0.5 is adding support for Dropbox, Box.net and Google Docs. We will provide seamless integration to your favorite document system allowing you to send any document from PamFax very easily. Stay tuned for more news as we get closer to a release (possibly even this year)!
We hope you like this update and enjoy using our service.
