We are proud to announce an upcoming addition to the PamFax family of applications and supported operating systems.
We started with PamFax for Windows in 2007, added Mac OSX and Linux last year and now will soon add PamFax for Android.
Why Android? The main reason is the fact that the OS is open and allows for access to local data. This means that PamFax for Android is able to access PDFs and other documents stored on the Android device.
Development is currently ongoing and we hope to have a beta ready in June with the target to launch PamFax for Android in July. PamFax for Android will support Android 2.2 which has just been released.
You may ask, what about iPhone or Blackberry? As iPhone does not allow access to local stored documents we are focusing on the area of application integration on the iPhone platform. An example is a document management/storage application or an application which takes a picture of a document and then can send this as a fax document.
On the Blackberry side we are starting the investigation to see if a PamFax application makes sense. The fact that Blackberry targets the same market as we do with PamFax might make offering a PamFax application an interesting option.

Beta 2 of the new mcePhone 3.0 got improved a lot in the last days. We tuned the video calling functions, the installation process and lot more. Just give it a try and post any feedback via our contact form.
Be one of the first to test the new mcePhone for Skype Beta 1! This complete overhauled version 3 brings Skype chats and video calls to your TV using Microsoft Media Center (2005 or Vista). We have spent large efforts on improving the user interface and usability of mcePhone. Just download and try out the new version here:
Be aware that there are still edges and problems in this beta version. Just let us know what you think or if you experience any problem. Our contact form is the best way to submit any feedback about mcePhone.

Skype have released the Beta 2 release of their new 4.0 client. We have tested it and found it to be already stable enought for day to day usage. It has less rough edges as Beta 1 and a lot of the Beta 1 feedback has been incorporated in this release. So if you are a bit computer savy you will definitely want to give the Beta 2 a go.
For those upgrading to 4.0 and don’t want to miss the “old style” of how Skype looked you can change to the Compact View mode which essentially makes Skype behave as Skype 3.8. But you will still have the advantages of the conversation list (which is really cool) and the upgraded interface which I find more productive and fun the the old one.
Again, this Beta 2 is a great step forward. It is noticeable that Skype are listening hard to their users and I think the end product will really reshape the way people look at “messenger” applications. Just compare this beta release with the Live Messenger 2009 release – wow, does the Live Messenger look outdated .
Last but not least, we are interested to hear from you if Skype should present itself in the new single window design or as “old style” Skype to users who upgrade. In particular, do you think people who have used Skype before 4.0 will easily migrate to the new single window interface? Looking forward to hearing from you.

We are proud to announce the new version of mcePhone for Skype, which brings Skype to your TV using Microsoft Media Center (2005 or Vista). This next version 2.2 will have integrated Skype Video calls and Skype chat support.
This is a screencam of the complete overhauled version with new UI:
Unfortunately, Skype was unable to add an API to Skype in the past 3 years to give us access to the video of Skype calls directly, although we have asked and pushed hard for so long. As Skype video calls on TV was the most requested feature of mcePhone, we have invested a vast amount of time to make this possible even without any change from Skype’s side. With this new version, you will get fullscreen Skype video of the person you are calling on your TV and even see your video in the lower left corner (see ~1:30 in the video above).
Another very nice new feature is Skype chat integration: While you can still see the current media playing in the lower left corner of your TV (i.e. while the commercials are playing), you can chat with your friends and family. You even get a notification overlayed over your current media (TV, DVD, …) if a chat message comes in. With one click, you are in the chat conversation to answer the incoming chat message (see ~3:30 in the video).
We plan to make a beta of this new version available very soon to you. Be prepared to get a totally new feeling of Skype in your living room
Let us know what you think.

Jaast for Wii has just been released as public beta. Jaast enables you to browser on eBay, search for items and even bid and buy things just with your Nintendo Wii console. This cool new experience makes eBay even more fun. Just sitting on the couch waving with the Wii Nunchuck controller to buy stuff on eBay, just great .
This website has all the details, screenshots, a video and installation instruction for you: www.scendix.com/jaast
New software online shop on Scendix websites: The Scendix software websites (scendix.com and scendix.de) just got their new software online shop that makes it even more easy to buy our software. There are several advantages of the new shop: i.e. you will get the license key immediately after your purchase, you are able to download PDF invoices, rebates for multiple licenses are automatically calculated, ….
All old orders have been imported to the new shop. If you forgot your license key or want to upgrade your existing license, you can click on “forgot password” and then get your new login to the shop where you have access to your previous orders.
Great news has come. The next releases of the Skype Firefox and IE toolbars (which are included with every Skype installation) will have added support for PamFax.
It works pretty slick and allows you to click and send a fax. Very easy!
Example:
The toolbars are already available as beta release at the Skype Toolbar website here. So, check this out and let us know what you think.

The new build (.49) addresses not only some minor issues but more interestingly has a new recommend to a friend option. This is a function where, after you sent your fax, you can easily have PamFax send a Skype chat to your friends and once five people start using PamFax we will add a cash bonus to your account automatically. For every five new users you will get a bonus! So, the more you recommend the more bonus (cash) is added to your account.
Note that only people that do no yet have PamFax show on the recommendation contact list. Also people you already have recommended do not show again . To prevent overuse, the maximum contacts you can recommend to (per fax job) is ten.
Another great feature is the support of PamFax in the upcoming Skype toolbars. Take a look here. Pretty cool stuff, so download the beta toolbar and give it a go.
No client update is required, so just keep faxing away.
