We made only one major usability change and that is when entering a fax number the country code is preselected to the country set in your PamFax profile. Reason is that most people send faxes to numbers in their own country so preselecting this removes an additional step. Sending a fax quick and easy is our mission!
We also fixed a rare crash bug.
The next version will be 2.0 and will have a big new feature – direct access to your documents stored on Box.net, Dropbox or Google Docs. Stay tuned!

Today we released our first update for PamFax for Android. Based on the feedback collected and further usability testing we implemented several changes:
Added notification when a fax is pending to be sent
Added exit button to quit PamFax
Added info button with version information
Added support for lower screen resolutions (e.g. 240×400 in Samsung Galaxy3)
Smaller fixes and optimizations
The login screen was changed. There is now an explanation of how PamFax works and what you get when you sign up.
Once you have logged in with your PamFax user name or signed up for a new account you will see the PamFax main screen which looks very similar to the other applications (Windows, OSX, Linux).
Sending a document is very simple. PamFax Android will now automatically ask you what you want to send to whom. The workflow is the same as you are used to with all other PamFax applications and the PamFax Portal. No need to learn a new application!
We hope you enjoy the update. Several people were affected by crashes in the 1.0 version and these should be now resolved.
The next version of PamFax for Android will have an option to send documents from online storage platforms like Box.net, Dropbox and Google Docs. Stay tuned for the next version!
We have released a server update for PamFax. In this release we have mainly focused on increasing the performance even further. This includes improvements to the website, the server backend and significant speed improvements of the PamFax system itself.
The changes in this server-side update are:
Bugfix: Fixed a button display issue when using Opera to access the Portal
Bugfix: Sometimes a +0 was shown as sender in history list
Bugfix: Minor issues related to Portal login addressed
Bugfix: Unable to delete an unpaid fax
Feature: Added a “Logging you in” message after signing in (PamFax application only)
Feature: Password length feedback provided (when too short or too long)
Feature: Added the ability to add notes to a sent fax
Feature: Full name of purchased products are now shown in the PamFax Portal
A big new feature we added in this release is the “Recommend PamFax” option. We had this feature in PamFax2 but wanted to improve it and make it more attractive for our users. So, it took a while before we completed with this task.
You can recommend PamFax to your Skype contacts (as in PamFax2) and as new options we added Facebook, Twitter, email and promotion via a personalized link. This will enable you to recommend PamFax to different sets of user groups or just place the link on a blog site, etc. And the best thing of all is that for each user who signs up with PamFax we add one free fax page to your account automatically!
Note that server-side updates do not need a new installation of your PamFax application.
We are already working on the next release which will be a “feature release”. Our main focus with 3.0.5 is adding support for Dropbox, Box.net and Google Docs. We will provide seamless integration to your favorite document system allowing you to send any document from PamFax very easily. Stay tuned for more news as we get closer to a release (possibly even this year)!
We hope you like this update and enjoy using our service.

PamFax for Android has been released: Now you can send faxes directly from your Android Phone (Android 1.6 or better) and also access your faxes you have sent or received. Here are some impressions (click to enlarge):
PamFax App for Android is totally free as all our PamFax software tools are. You only pay the fax pages that have been successfully sent.
PamFax client updated to 3.0.0.3: A new version of the client software application for Windows, Mac OS and Linux has also been released today. Beside some minor bugfixes, this update brings drag&drop support: simply open PamFax and drop all the files you want to fax on the PamFax window and they will be added to the fax.
Today we released a few usability updates for PamFax 3.0. Since launch end of May, we have received some user feedback that it was hard to understand how PamFax works and how to sign up. Based on this feedback we mainly have redone the account creation and login screens. The social login has been improved too. The home page has seen an update as well to make clearer how PamFax works and how to sign up.
In the PamFax API we made some small fixes to address issues we found since we went live.

Vincent wrote an excellent review on the PamFax service. The review was published end of May, right after we upgraded our platform to PamFax3. At the time the review was written we were still sorting out some technical post-migration issues.
Vincent mentions that the PamFax service has variable speed, this is something I’d like to clarify. After the lauch of PamFax3 we indeed had some performance issues, but these were related to the new hardware environment in which PamFax3 operated. As a result we did not see the anticipated performance stability compared to PamFax2.
This issue was quickly resolved and we have since not had any performance issues, fax delivery is fast and reliable.
We are also looking at how we can improve our online communication strategy and extend it beyond the occasional product announcement. Point taken!
We’d like to thank Vincent for his review and, especially as he is a web designer, for the positive feedback on the user interface and usability.
With great pride we announce the new PamFax Developer Program.
Based on the PamFax3 technology we now have an API available so you can integrate all the PamFax features into your solution. Our own solutions also use the same API.
Usage of the API and the development environment is completely free of charge.
Applying for API access is very simple and is done on the developer page linked below. Once your application has been received, we give you access credentials to the sandbox environment. You have access to the documentation, can look at sample code and start the PamFax integration.
We have created a nice logo which you can use in your solution and marketing programs.
Further (technical and commercial) information and how to apply is written on the developer page at http://developer.pamfax.com.

Today we released an update to the PamFax server platform and the downloadable applications.
Since the launch on May 17th we have been closely monitoring the system. We have done a few hotfixes since then and today released a bigger update addressing some things we’ve noticed the past 9 weeks.
As the updates are server side there is no action required, you will benefit from the changes automatically. On the application side there are two issues which might affect you. If you have these issues you should download PamFax and re-install as this time we do not auto update every user.
In the local application we fixed the following issues:
fax.exe crashes after sending a fax with PamFax printer
Fixed issue when a temporary file is corrupt this results in mini window at start of PamFax
On the server side we have made the following changes:
Further improved performance with fax sending
Removed flash uploader module. New module is HTML5 or HTML based to address compatibility issues
Clicking on “Details” in sent fax history would occasionally not show anything
Fixed an issue where the sent fax preview is not shown in the detail view of a fax
Added a function and made two fixes to the PamFax API
Several minor issues and stability fixes
The current server version is 3.0.3.x and the clients all are 3.0.x.2 – so when you use PamFax you will now see 3.0.3.2 as version number.
