We’re proud to announce that we’ve just released a new PamFax update.
Based on feedback we have worked hard on improving the overall system performance. PamFax was not always as quick in starting up as our customers would like to see. This was specifically noticeable in areas further away from our server clusters.
We made some significant performance improvements in all local applications. You will notice that PamFax starts up a lot quicker than before and that also the screen appear much quicker. This is also the case if you use the PamFax Portal via our website for sending.
We further improved the API commands and did a lot of work to increase the overall stability and API performance. In addition we fixed a few technical issues.
Our coverage in Germany has increased. PamFax now offer national numbers in Germany which require an address from anywhere in the territory of Germany.
Note that this update focuses primarily on providing you a more quicker and snappier user interface. The fax sending itself we are unable to speed up as this relies on many factors.
This update is mandatory for all PamFax for Windows, OS X and Linux users. You will be automatically notified of the new version when you start PamFax.
Last but not least we’ve updated our entire range of mobile applications. These now benefit from the improved performance. The applications updated are PamFax for Android, iPad/iPhone and webOS. You will be informed via the device as soon as the updates are available.
We hope you find the update valuable and as always are more than happy to hear from you what we can do better!

Scendix Software has released some exciting new features. We regularly listen to our customers and add new functions to our releases. We’ve used the summer time to provide you with new and useful things. In this new release, we added new functions and fixed a few minor technical issues.
Our key new features are multiple delete, scheduled sending and a spam filter. It is now possible to delete multiple faxes from your history at once and schedule fax sending at a specific date/time in future. These were among the most requested features. In addition we’ve added a spam tagging option for inbound faxes. If fifteen or more from the same sender have been tagged as spam, all new incoming faxes from that number are moved to the trash automatically.
We’ve expanded the number of countries in which you can get fax numbers by adding South Africa and Portugal. The total number of countries where we now offer an inbound fax number is 31.
Highlights of the new release
- Send a fax at a preset date/time
- Deleting multiple faxes from history
- Spam filter for incoming faxes
- Two new countries for fax numbers (South Africa + Portugal)
The current version is now available. This update also includes an update for the local PamFax application should you have installed PamFax on your computer. You will be notified automatically of the new version and the update is started.
Thank you for all the feedback. As always keep the feedback coming on how we help you be more effective with PamFax.

Today Microsoft announced the acquisition of Skype, what does this mean for our company, our products, our developers and our users?
At the moment we can’t fully say what will happen over time, but as Skype will become a separate and independent business division in Microsoft we expect to see many synergies. We have been closely working with Skype since 2004 and we´re optimistic to further expand and broaden our relationship once Skype is a division of Microsoft.
Our Skype products like Pamela for Skype and mcePhone will continue to work and we will continue to keep a close relationship with Skype for further development.
Our PamFax product originally was very tightly integrated with Skype. After Skype discontinued the partner access to Skype Credit, we removed the tight Skype dependency. Today PamFax is used by Skype and non-Skype users alike.
We will keep you posted as this evolves.

It has been a few years since we last updated the Skype for Salesforce solution.
This free Skype application provides seamless Skype integration into Salesforce application.
Skype for Salesforce offers you full Skype functionality in your Salesforce screen. You will see the online status of your Skype contacts, you will be able to call them with one click and also receive calls. For received calls with caller ID, Salesforce automatically retrieves the record of that person so you are prepared when you take the call.
You may also import your Skype contact list. This allows for easy Skype calling from Salesforce.
Conference calls are also supported and allow you to easily, directly from Salesforce, start a conference call with a few clicks.
New in the 2.1 version are
- Support for Firefox browser added
- Skype call transfer support added
Besides we fixed several technical issues which appeared over time.
More information and download on AppExchange at Salesforce.com.
We hope you enjoy the update and as always appreciate your feedback.

On December 24th our company organized the fifth traditional “Weihnachtsglühen” (Christmasglowing) at our CTOs home.
With it we raise money for the Uelzer Tafel. The “Tafel” idea is based on the City Harvest project which was started in USA in 1983 to help people in need for food.
The total donation amount is doubled by PamConsult GmbH. Last year 700€ was donated and thus the Uelzer Tafel received 1.400€ from us.
This year, thanks to more participants, the total amount donated was 800€. In total we are able to donate 1.600€ to the Uelzer Tafel!
Probably more people came this year because it was so freezing cold and we had a nice warming fire!

Today we have upgraded our company website www.pamconsult.com to a complete new design:

This new design fits into our CI that we are applying to all our websites. We hope that every user feels “like home” and knows how to use it when he gets to one of our websites when they all look similar and all navigation elements are at the same place.
Do you like it? Leave a comment…

Due to a problem in Microsoft’s Media Center Gallery database, mceWeather disappeared from the Media Center’s “Gallery” menu in some european countries.
Now it’s back and you can start it again easily from your Media Center “Gallery” menu even without installing:

If you like this plugin, try to convince Microsoft to add it to the Media Center Gallery in the USA. We never were able to convince them (like back in 2006 when Chris Lanier tried as well)…
