New PamFax update on the horizon
In the past when I’ve written something about a new release it was always after the update was released. This time I want to share with you upfront the new stuff we will have in the upcoming update. This will also prove that we do have product plans!
So, on November 30 we will release two updates. One is a server update and also the PamFax application will be updated.
Let me start with the server changes. Over the past months we have been collecting feedback from users and the automatic feedback tools in PamFax. We have seen that we need to step up efforts on performance mainly. So the new upgrade will address:
- Improved performance in fax processing
- Even lower document conversion failure rates (spec. PDF documents)
Beside these changes we will add support for OpenID so that you can use your OpenID to create and login to your PamFax account.
As communicated before Skype have decided to disable the Skype wallet access (payment with Skype Credit in 3rd party tools) so we will also replace this payment method with a similar one w/o Skype Credit. Rest asure that we are focussed on keeping PamFax as simple and open as possible (no strings attached faxing).
The PamFax application will be updated as well. The main objective is increasing the stability of the PamFax Windows and Mac application.
We are all very excited about this update which will make the PamFax system even more pleasant and effective. More news to come as we approach the release date.
